The Foundations

In 1985, after a number of years working in wine, Mario took a leap of faith: he purchased land in Roddi, in the heart of Barolo country, built the winery, and laid the foundations for what would become the Olivero Mario farm of today.

In 1987, he went all in, moving his entire family to Roddi, with a hefty mortgage on his shoulders. He had only one certainty: hard work would take care of the rest.
